Scottie Riemann Howard, Sr.

Mr. Scottie Riemann Howard, Sr., 65, of Saucier, MS died Saturday, February 5, 2005, in Saucier. Mr. Howard was born in Gulfport and remained a lifelong resident of the coast. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired automobile mechanic. Preceding Mr. Howard in death were his wife, Nellie Elizabeth Howard; a son, James Spiers; three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include four daughters, Rhonda Moore and Debra Langston both of Gulfport, Gloria Hebert and Nancy Parker both of Saucier; four sons, Raymond Howard and Scottie Howard, Jr. both of Saucier, Donald Howard of Gulfport and Jerry Spiers of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters, Geneva Varnado of Saucier and Louise Browning of Baytown, Texas; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, February 7, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Orange Grove Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Gulfport. Funeral services are Tuesday in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery in Long Beach.
