Shannon Michael McKeown

Shannon Michael McKeown, age 63, of Biloxi, died Monday, November 5, 2007 in Biloxi. He was born October 7, 1944 in Biloxi and lived most of his life on the Gulf Coast. He graduated from D'Iberville High School as president of his class in 1962, attended Perkinston Junior College, joined the Coast Guard and then the U.S. Navy. He loved fishing and boating which he did with his friends as long as he was able. He was preceded in death by his father, Shannon A. McKeown, his mother, Eura M. Lightner McKeown; brothers, Capt. James A. McKeown and Richard Shawn McKeown; and his former wife and mother of his children, Doris Ladner. He is survived by his three sons, Shannon Michael McKeown of Saucier, Timothy McKeown of Perkinston, and Andrew Troy McKeown of Saucier; six grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Morgan of D'Iberville; three brothers, Dennis McKeown of Bermuda, Kenneth McKeown of Jacksonville, FL, and Ryan McKeown of D'Iberville; eleven nephews and three nieces. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. at Saucier Holiness Church, Saucier, where friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until the service.
