Shannon Polovich "Patty" Barlow

Mrs. Shannon "Patty" Polovich Barlow, P.H.D., 60, of Biloxi, MS, died Wednesday, July 4, 2007, in Gulfport. Mrs. Barlow, a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi, was a 1965 graduate of Biloxi High School and a member of her graduation class reunion committee. Mrs. Barlow enjoyed cooking and gardening. She attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Charles Russell Barlow, U. S. Air Force. Survivors include her son, C. Russell "Rusty" Barlow, II of Atlanta, GA; former daughter-in-law, Sherry Barlow; parents, Peggy and Anthony Polovich of Biloxi; sister, Renell Jones and her husband, Roy; three brothers, David Polovich, Chris Polovich, Chucky Polovich, and two grandsons, Satchel Barlow and Spencer Barlow. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 12 noon at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
