Sharon Alane Williams, age 45, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away on Monday, April 24, 2006, at home in Ocean Springs, MS., surrounded by her loving family after a brave battle with kidney cancer. She was born on November 4, 1960, at Griffiss A.F.B. , Rome, New York to the late George Ernest Binkney and Carole I. Snyder Binkney, presently of Ocean Springs, MS., having lived in Vancleave for the past 15 years. Sharon was a resident of the coast for over 30 years and a 1979 graduate of Ocean Springs High School. She was employed at the Isle of Capri Casino for the past 13 years and prior to that she worked for 6 years at a dining hall on Keesler A.F.B. She was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by her devoted sons, Michael Shane Williams and Ryan Joseph M. Williams, her mother, Carole I. Binkney, all of Ocean Springs, MS., brother and sister-in-law, Randall George and Sun Ye Binkney of Jackson, MS., nieces, Leah R. Weaver and Jamie N. Binkney, both of Vancleave, MS., nephews, Kevin G. and Daniel G. Binkney of Jackson, MS., two special aunts, Grayce A. Bartley of Schwenksville, PA., and Marilyn R. Snyder of Moon Township, PA., special uncle, Raymond J. Snyder of Moon Township, PA., many cousins whom she adored, her dear and loving friend and companion, Thomas Gage of Benndale, MS., and treasured friend, Peggy Walmsley of Ocean Springs, MS. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Quality Hospice of the Gulf Coast, Inc., as well as to all the employees of the Isle of Capri who supported Sharon in her need to the very end and to all those who visited her in the hospital, phoned and brought gifts of love. That was a sincere comfort and peace to her. You all are a blessing to our family as well as the entire hospital staff at Ocean Springs Hospital. Private services will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
