Sharon Ann Creel

Sharon Ann Creel, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 14, 2025.

Born on November 15, 1947, to Preston Coleman Jr. and Katie Mladinich Coleman, Sharon grew up in Biloxi, Mississippi, where she remained a proud lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Girls Catholic High School. During her younger years, Sharon and her siblings often helped their grandparents at Serve Rite Grocery, a beloved family business at the corner of Division and Bohn Street in Biloxi.

Sharon met and married the love of her life, Roger Dale Creel Sr., and together they built a home in the St. Martin community, raising six children. Married for 50 years, Sharon was a devoted homemaker and a faithful member of the Catholic Church. Her greatest joy was gathering her family together, especially during the holidays, where her warmth and cooking brought everyone closer. Sharon’s open heart meant there was always room at her table, and her unconditional love was felt by all who knew her.

A proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Sharon cherished her family deeply. Her legacy of kindness and fierce devotion will live on in their hearts.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Katie Coleman; her beloved husband, Roger Dale Creel Sr.; and her brothers-in-law, Junius, Terry, and Wayne Creel Sr.

She is survived by her children, Laura (Brian) Miller, Kevin (Melissa) Creel, Keith (Samantha) Creel, Johnathan (Beth) Creel, and Stephen Creel; grandchildren, Alexandra Creel, Stephanie Creel (Jordan), Kyle (Emily) Creel, Matthew Brown, Thuy Downs, Cameron, Kelly, and Joshua Cook; and great-grandchildren, Channing, Zealand, and Jaxtyn. She is also survived by her siblings, James (Kathy) Coleman and Mary Morse; sister-in-law, Donna Creel; and numerous nieces and nephews who will honor her memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
