Sharon D. Strak

Sharon D. Strak, 78, of Ocean Springs passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Biloxi. Mrs. Strak was born in Sheboygan, WI and graduated from North High School in 1952. She resided in Portsmouth, RI for 20 years and has been a resident of Ocean Springs, MS for the past 33 years. Mrs. Strak worked for Blossman Gas for over 16 years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Strak is preceded in death by her husband, John Strak; her parents, August and Ida Grube; and her brother, Duwane Grube. Survivors include her sons, Michael (Maureen) Strak, Mark (Cheryl) Strak, Mitchell (Debra) Strak and Martin Strak; her sisters-in-law, Alyda Grube and Janet Green; her sisters, Patricia (John) Lubbers, Penny (Jack) Schaap and Renee (Peter) Binder; her grandchildren, Mark (Emily) Strak, Jr., Jay (Jennifer) Strak, Kristen (Russ) Holden, Karen (Jeremy) Patrick, Bradley Corrita, Heather DeLong and Chelsea Strak; and twelve great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to Wesley United Methodist Church Building Fund, 8900 Old Spanish Trail Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Funeral services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
