Sharon Elizabeth Skrmetta

Sharon Elizabeth Skrmetta, 53, formally of Biloxi and was currently living in Delcambre, LA, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 in New Orleans, LA. Sharon was born and raised in Biloxi and attended Sacred Heart Girls High School. She was employed in their family businesses, The Pier Seafood Restaurant, where she served as Manager, and Ship Island Excursions. Until recently, Sharon and her husband, Martin, were in the shrimping industry where they owned and operated the shrimp boat, "Jennifer Mitch". Sharon loved being on the water and she also had a special love for her dogs. She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Ray and Geraldine Stanley; brother, Timmy Stanley; sister, Carlene Boudreaux and father-in-law, Jimmie Skrmetta. Sharon is survived by her husband of 35 years, Martin Skrmetta of Delcambre, LA; daughter, Jennifer Skrmetta of Biloxi and her son, Mitchell Skrmetta and his wife, Lindsay of Atlanta, GA; sister, Susan Gonsoulin and her husband, Larry of Biloxi. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
