Sharon Lynn Yates

Sharon Lynn Yates, age 64, of Gulfport, died Thursday, July 6, 2006 in Biloxi. Mrs. Yates was born in Dayton, Ohio and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for over 50 years. She was employed with Gulf Coast Medical Center for 26 years. She was a member of the Auxiliary Women of the American Legion Post 119. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Yates, Sr.; her parents, Robert and Jaclyn Cron; sons, John Thomas Yates and Jimmy Yates; and a brother, John Cron. Mrs. Yates is survived by her children, Patricia Hudson of North Carolina, Roy E. Yates, Jr. and wife, Katherine of Saucier, Joseph Yates and wife, Phyllis of North Carolina, Penny Durel and husband, Bill of Gulfport, Ann Marie Morgan and husband, Jimmy of Saucier, Lois Bang and husband, Smokey of Gautier; two sisters, Penny Martin and Toni Cron of Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Tyler Hudson, Jennifer and John Yates, all of North Carolina, Michael, Willie Jr. and Candis Durel of Gulfport, Kaitlyn and Mariah Yates of Saucier, Chad Bang and wife, Christy of Vancleave, and Dusty and Shanda Bang of Gautier; three great-grandchildren, Justin, Kendall, and Caleb Bang of Vancleave; and special nephews Joe and Steve Yates of Orlando, FL. The funeral service will be Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Gardens, Gulfport
