Sharon Renee Evison Mohr

Sharon Renee Evison Mohr, age 75, of Vancleave, MS., died Sunday, December 25, 2011, at her home, after a long battle with cancer. Sharon was born on December 8, 1936, in Grand Island, NE to Jesse and Lois Evison. She graduated from high school in 1954 from Grand Island Senior High School. Sharon worked for Dr. John Anderson and Dr. McDermott in Grand Island for 21 years. After moving to Vancleave, MS. in 1983 she was employed by Citizens Bank and the Isle of Capri Casino. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, camping and the slot machines at the Casinos. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John Henry Mohr and her parents, Jesse and Lois Evison. Survivors include her son, Randall L. (Cynthia) Mohr, and grandson, John Lee (Michele Lea) Mohr. On Friday, December 30, 2011, there will be a 7 pm Celebration of Life service at Community of Christ Church in Vancleave. The family plans to take her cremains home to be buried with her husband in Grand Island, NE in Westlawn Cemetery and having a graveside service at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS. 39507. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. .
