Shepard Ray "Billy Ray" Havens

Mr. Shepard Ray "Billy Ray" Havens, age 78, of Vancleave, MS, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Billy Ray was born on December 18, 1941, in Biloxi, MS to William and Velma Havens. He graduated from Vancleave High School and completed one year at Perkinston Jr. College. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as a tech writer. Billy Ray served three years in the U.S. Army, was an avid sports man and enjoyed coaching sports and his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen Havens and sister, Annette Sumrall. Survivors include his children, Theresa (Frank) Martin, Donna (Johnnie) Trigg, Delwyn (Lynn) Havens and Deann (Chris) Mevers, grandchildren, Kristyn Hinton, Brent Martin, Tyler Martin, Haley Roberts, Caleb Trigg, Chandler Trigg, Hinton Havens, Phebe Havens, Carly Havens, Morgan Foster, Mason Foster and Scarlet Mevers, great-grandchildren, Emily and Aiden English, Adelaide, Madison and Maddux Martin, Haven Martin and Ryan, Jenson, Jaxson and Maverick Roberts and siblings, Sandra McGrew and Dan Havens. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 3, from 12 noon until 1pm, with a 1pm chapel service, all at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A private burial will follow.
