Shirley Ann Mickoul Thornton

Shirley Ann Mickoul Thornton, 86, of Biloxi, MS passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 peacefully in her home after struggling for many years with Dementia.

Shirley was a Biloxi native, born August 26, 1933. She was the proud owner of “The Factory Seafood Restaurant” in Biloxi, MS. Shirley also had many other accomplishments with her husband, Joe Thornton. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Redeemer. Shirley will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michel N. Mickoul and Shirley Ann Mickoul; her husband, Joseph Robert Thornton, III; her son, Robert Michel (Marianne Tauzin) Thornton; and her daughter, Jo Love Thornton.

Shirley’s survivors include her son, Gregory Mickoul (Lisa Marie) Thornton; her grandchildren, Robert M. Thornton, II, Michel Joseph Thornton and Atalie Leslie Thornton; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob Thornton and Ava Leslie Thornton.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Southern Memorial Park. Please observe the social distancing guidelines.
