Shirley Lambert DeBoever

Mrs. Shirley Lambert DeBoever died at the age of 69 at the Quality Hospice In-Care Facility, May 7, 2005. She was born July 21, 1935, in Red Ash, Virginia. Shirley was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #6654, in DeSoto, Kansas. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her passions in life were painting and fishing. She never met a stranger, always had a smile on her face and she had a wonderful sense of humor. Mrs. DeBoever was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Lambert; her parents, Ernest and Henrietta McGraw and a brother, James "Jimmy" McGraw. Survivors include her devoted husband of 25 years, William "K C" DeBoever of Biloxi; a daugher, Sheree Madden of Biloxi; two step daughters, Janette Smith of Jackson and Holly Gaffney of Ocean Springs; two step sons, William M. DeBoever of St. Martin and Joseph DeBoever of Gulfport; eight grandchildren, Dr. Travis Rutland, Lucas Rutland, Glendel Madden, Amy Madden, Mark Smith, Mary Smith, Denise Smith and Desiree Smith; a soon to be born great granddaughter, Kadence Leigh Rutland; one sister, Sandy Sayers and four brothers; Bill McGraw, Paul McGraw, Karl Benson McGraw and Steve McGraw. Shirley's family and friends feel blessed that she left this world in peace with her family beside her. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, but we know she is now in God's loving arms. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at 2 p. m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. A small reception will be held at the Biloxi Elks Lodge, #606, following the service. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
