Shirley May Windham Duane, 78, of Pass Christian, MS passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011. Shirley was born on August 19, 1932 in Blue Springs, MO and graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1950. She had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1984. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and a longtime volunteer at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. She was also active in the Pass Christian Yacht Club, Pass Christian Isles Golf Club and the Timber Ridge Women's Association. Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Vernon Jessie Windham and son, Richard Edgar Windham. She is survived by her husband of 5 years, Raymond Robert "Bob" Duane of Pass Christian; son, David Paul Windham of Carlsbad, CA; grandson, Richard Jessie (Ry) Windham of Carlsbad, CA; step-son, Thomas Rodwick Windham of Steamboat Springs, CO; step-daughters, Judy Duane Noon of Buffalo, NY and Janet Duane Ticconi of Smyrna, GA; step-grandson, Zachary Windham of Steamboat Springs, CO; Goddaughter, Ramona Mann Flanagan of Tomball, TX. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the 15th Street Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Gulfport. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Pass Christian. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Chrisitian, MS. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to: Trinity Episcopal Church, 125 Church Ave., Pass Christian, MS 39571.
