Shirley Ann Miller

Shirley Ann Miller of Ocean Springs, MS, died at 4:09 PM, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at her home in St Andrews. Also surviving are her children, Jim Miller and Julie Starling; nine grandchildren, Nick, Lindsay, Sydney, Logan, William, Christopher, Courtney, Christian, and Cassidy; one great-grandchild, Mason; and three sisters, Jeanne, Claire and Mary. Her son, Bill, and brothers, Phillip, Larry and Peter preceded her in death. Shirley graduated from St Mary’s in Madison, Wisconsin and went on to become a surgical nurse at St Mary’s Hospital. She traveled with her husband throughout his long military career before settling in Ocean Springs in 1977. She enjoyed and treasured all her grandchildren and their many and varied activities. Reading, gardening and playing bridge with her many friends were her other favorite interests. Visitation will be on Monday, February 13, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Father Sergio officiating.
