Mrs. Shirley Ann Wood, age 76, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, in her Fountainbleau Community home in Ocean Springs.
She was born in Biloxi, MS, had been a Fountainbleau resident for 57 years and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Wood was a mother of loves with all her strength, all her being and heart. She worked in the seafood factories, Rosetti's Café and E.R. Moore in Ocean Springs. She loved to play games, dominoe's, yatzee and pig, She was a caregiver to all in need especially her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Roscoe Wood, parents, Clarence and Vera King, a brother, J.C. King, and sisters, Lois Wescovich and Rosemary Hanson.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Jean (Kevin) Hebert, two sons, Clarence Earl (Casi) Wood and Russell Roscoe (Ann) Wood, Jr, sister, Glenda Seymour, brother, Richard King, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 3, from 10 am until 11 am, with an 11 am Memorial Service, all at Belle Fountain Baptist Church.
