Sibyl Herrington Hebert

Sibyl Herrington Hebert, age 69, of Biloxi, MS, our beloved, returned to the creator on Sunday, March 19, 2006, after courageously battling a long illness. Sibyl guarded and guided her immediate and extended family with her strength and dedication. She showed unfaltering devotion to each of them and left a legacy of love. Sibyl was an avid traveler with the Golden Age Club and a member of the Fleur de Lis Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, being with her grandchildren and spending time in her yard. As the backbone of the family, Sibyl opened her home regularly, presiding over family gatherings with grace, hospitality and love. This amazing woman was preceded in death by her father, Ira Oma Herrington, Sr. and mother, Sibyl Oleta (Houston) Herrington, sister, Jeannine Herrington Francisco, and her brother, Ira Oma (Sonny) Herrington, Jr. Those remaining to mourn her passing are her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Melvin J. (Honkie) Hebert, her five children, Mrs. Debbie (Jimmy) Brochard, Mr. David Hebert, Mrs. Cathy (David) Galle', Mr. Danny Hebert and Mrs. Vicki (Glenn) Fox, her sister, Dale Begnaud, her loving grandchildren, Rachel and Nicholas Reed, Tyler Brochard, Cameron and Miranda Hebert, Christine and Tricia Galle' and Jessica Fox, and so many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, from 5-8 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Thursday, March 23, 2006, there will be an 11 a.m. chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Dr. Ijlal Babar and the office staff, Dr. Eva Magiros, the personnel at Quality Home Health Care, also, to the nurses, staff and respiratory therapists at Ocean Springs Hospital who took such special care of our wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
