Sophia Maria Mohler

Sophia Marie Mohler, age 8, of Ocean Springs, MS., received her angel wings on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Sophia was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. She was a 3rd grader at St. Alphonsus Catholic School, was a dancer at Donna's Visual & Performing Arts and was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She loved Disney, horseback riding and traveling with her family. Sophia was preceded in death by her Uncle Michael Paul Mohler. Survivors include her mother Theresa Tapper Mohler, father David Martin Mohler, sister Katelyn Monroe Mohler, maternal grandparents Frank and Brenda (Fairley) Tapper and Robert and Verona "Nonie" (Fountain) Mohler. She is also survived by her Aunt Jennifer (Jason) Howard and Uncles, Jerry (Laurie) Mohler, Mark (Debbie) Mohler, Richard "Brick" Mohler, Jeff "Bitty" (Kathy) Mohler and Greg Mohler, First Cousins, Erin Freeman, Haven & Bo Howard, Trey & Olivia Mohler, Mark, Aaron & Brandon (Megumi) Mohler, Chase, Blake & Julianna Mohler and Shana & Jeremy Mohler and Alexa & Brody Mohler. Visitation will be on Friday, September 10, 2010, from 4 pm until 8 pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Saturday, September 11, 2010, there will be an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may call from 10 am until 11 am. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1907 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX. 77030-4123.
