Stanley Earl Harkleroad, Sr.

Mr. Stanley Earl Harkleroad, age 67, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, March 9, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Harkleroad was a resident of the community for forty years. He was the owner and operator of Stan's Small Engine repair, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the American Legion Post #42. He was also a member of Windsor Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Cecilia Harkleroad, parents, Stanley Cotch Harkleroad, Sr and Madeline Gilley. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Harkleroad, daughter, Charlene Gibbon, son, Stanley Harkleroad, Jr., three stepsons, Edward C. Besancon, Jr., Joey Besancon and David Besancon, stepdad, Jerry Gilley, Sr., sister, Linda Buchans, three brothers, Robert Harkleroad, Irie Harkleroad, Cotch Harkleroad and Jerry Gilley and eleven grandchildren. Visistation will be on Thursday, March 12, 2009, from 6-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, March 13, 2009, there will be a church service at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Park Baptist Church, where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
