Mr. Ray "Butch" Stalnaker, 61, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, in Biloxi.
Mr. Stalnaker was a native of Tallassee, Alabama and had been a coast resident for the past 27 years. He was a retired charter bus driver with Celebrity Limousine and Charter Bus Service. He was also a singer/songwriter and lead singer with the bands "Rabbit Creek" and "Mark IV" where he was better known as "Big Daddy". Mr. Stalnaker was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Ozella Stalnaker and a sister, Joyce Rhodes.
Survivors include his step daughter, Jana Patterson of Biloxi; two sons, Scott Stalnaker and Ryan Stalnaker both of Biloxi; a grandson, Auston Stalnaker of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Virginia Worthington of Atlanta, GA and June Moore of Selma, AL; two brothers, Elvis Stalnaker of Atlanta, GA and Horace Stalnaker of Columbus, GA.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2004, from 10 till 11 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Carrville Cemetery in Tallassee, Alabama.
