Stephen Martin Sekul, II, a life long native of Biloxi died Friday, September 11, 2009.
He was affectionately known as “Buzzy” to all his family and friends. Buzzy loved music and for years sang in the choir at Nativity BVM. He also loved to draw and paint and was active in “the arts” community when he was in good health.
Buzzy was the only son of the late Judge John Marshall and Marjorie E. Sekul.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stephen M. and Elena Sekul, his maternal grandparents, Rudolph and Catherine Lamas, his only sister, Judith Catherine Seymour, his great nephew and godson, John Garrett Sheridan, his nephew-in-law John Richard.
He leaves to cherish memories of good times; his devoted aunt, Clare Sekul Hornsby, nieces, Julie Seymour Ellis and Margie Seymour Richard, nephews, Raymond C. Seymour and John F. Seymour. Great nieces, Elizabeth A. Seymour and Raven L. Richard-McClendon.
The family would like to give thanks and acknowledgment to the Ocean Springs Nursing Home for the loving care given to “Buzzy” for the last five years.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Marian Chapel of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral.
