Stephen Pressley Parks “Stevie”, the 14th child of Arnold and Juanita Parks, born on January 8th, 1954, passed away on December 23rd, 2024. He was a resident of Gautier, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arnold Emerson Parks, Sr. and Julia Juanita Johnson Parks of Gautier, Mississippi; sisters: Phyllis Parks Luxenberg, Freda Parks Roberts and Renee Parks Clark all of Mobile, Alabama and Carolyn Parks Posey of Vancleave, Mississippi; and by his brothers: Arnold Emerson Parks of Jr of Mobile, Alabama, Thomas Marion Parks of Gautier, Mississippi and Richard Winston Parks of Lucedale, Mississippi.
He is survived by his son: Daniel Stephen Parks of Yuma, Arizona; grandsons: Gavin Pressley Parks and Eli Kanoah Parks of Antioch, California; son: Alan Emerson Parks of Humble, Texas; sisters: Anne Parks Batson of Fairmont, West Virginia, Marcia Raye Parks Hester of D’Iberville, Mississippi, Marilyn Parks Hunt (Jerry) of Wilsonville, Alabama and Judy Ann Ward Parks, of Lucedale, Mississippi; brothers: Glenn R Parks of Lilburn, Georgia, Gene A Parks (Juanita) of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Robert A Parks (Sue) of Wichita, Kansas; and by many nieces and nephews.
Stevie was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader spending valuable time with his sons. He was a talented craftsman and sheet metal mechanic and layout man. He was also a very talented handyman, home repair contractor.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, Biloxi MS 39530 followed by interment at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39531 at 1:30pm.
The family would like to thank Steve and Falicia Coleman and the staff at All About Best Care for taking such good care of Stevie for the last year.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to All About Best Care, 1111 Old Spanish Trail, Gautier, MS 39553 or your favorite charity.
