Sue Garland Seitz

Sue Garland Seitz, age 86, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Northport, Alabama.

Born in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on June 8, 1938, Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, daughter, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Sue was known for her spirit of kindness and joy. Her love of family was exceeded only by her love of God, and she modeled the fruits of the spirit daily, and without fail, in her incredible walk of faith. She brought a personal and special warmth to every gathering, and her legacy of love and grace will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sue joined her late husband, James D. Seitz, in eternal rest almost 15 years after his passing on March 26, 2010. Their love was a testament to enduring devotion, and an inspiration to all who knew them. Sue is also preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Katherine Garland, and her sister, Billie Wright.

Sue leaves behind her daughters, Laura Roach Byrd (David), Elizabeth Roach Espy (Isaac), Jennifer Roach Buckner (Russ); grandchildren, Emily Sue Espy Wilder (Blake), Paul Collins Espy (Codi), LizAnne Dacy Espy Sutherland (Sean); great-granddaughters, Catherine Marie Espy, Caroline Dacy Espy; and many other relatives including grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly. Her family will forever cherish the memories and love she shared with them.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
