Susan McDonnell Oustalet

Susan Oustalet, of Biloxi, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in Gulfport, MS. She was born in Biloxi and resided there most of her life.

Susan served as an agent for Prudential Bailey Real Estate and afterword owned a Benetton franchise, before opening her long-time business, The Gift Gallery, in 1992. She also decorated many homes across the coast for various holidays. Susan was a long-time member of the Gulfport Yacht Club, GYC Ladies Auxiliary, St. Peter’s By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, Gulf Coast Carnival Association, and Les Masques where she served as Queen in 1982. She also served as a Humane Society Board Member and was the “Go Red for Women” Honoree in 2010, an organization that helps fund research for the American Heart Association. Anyone who knew Susan knew she never met a stranger. Her personality was larger than life, and her love of cooking and entertaining was just as large. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all that knew her.

Ms. Oustalet was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Andre McDonnell (Ethel), Sr.; and her brother, Mr. Howard Andre McDonnell, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Rouxanne Oustalet Raworth (Mickey) and her 2 grandchildren, Abby and Bronson Raworth. She also leaves behind her 3 beloved cats.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Gulfport Memorial Hospital for their devoted care.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October, 29, 2022, at St. Peters-By-The-Sea Episcopal Church in Gulfport, MS, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.  Funeral Services will follow immediately after. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport is honored to serve the Oustalet family.
