Susie Rankin Mizell

Susie Rankin Mizell, age 79, was called by God on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 to join Him and become His newest angel. Her only child, Vickie Susanne Mizell Reid was by her side. She was born September 15, 1926 in Baxterville, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and was a member of Pass Road Baptist Church in Gulfport. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Elvis L. Mizell, Jr; parents, Nathan D. Rankin and Della Mae Holston Rankin; sisters and brothers, Mary Jane Russell, David Lane Rankin, Laville Rankin, William Fleming Rankin, Eva Estelle Rankin, Annie Mae Rankin, Lloyd Paul Rankin, Harry Edwin Rankin, Thomas Edward Rankin, John Devin Rankin, and infant twin brothers. She is survived by her only child, Vickie Susanne Mizell Reid and her husband, Michael E. Reid, II, of Gulfport; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The funeral service is Saturday April 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 12 noon until the service.
