Sylvia Faye Kiernan Catchot

Mrs. Sylvia Faye Kiernan Catchot, age 73, of Vancleave, MS. passed from this life on October 25, 2011, in Vancleave. She was born on March 21, 1938, to George and Carolyn Webb Kiernan and was a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Catchot, sister, Vivian Provost, and brothers, George A. Kiernan, Jr., Robert W. Kiernan and Patrick F. Kiernan. Survivors include three children, Debbie Ford, Gordie Gill and Lynn (John) Ward, two step-children, Lisa (Dan) Mullen and Tony (Julie) Catchot, her one and only most loved sister, Brenda (Ronnie) Mallette, four grandchildren, Natalie Ford, Sommer Ward Anding, Shane Gill and Devin Gill, four step-grandchildren, one great-grandson, Caden Taylor McGrath and four step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 29, 2011, from 1 pm until 2 pm, with a 2 pm church service, all at Faith Christian Center, on the corner of Magnolia St. and Government St., next to the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center in Ocean Springs. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Reverend Randy Johnson and Reverend Allen Medlock will be officating. Music will be provided by Reverend Randy Johnson and Sommer Ward Anding. The family would like to express a special thanks to all nurses and aids at St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
