T/Sgt. Brenda L. Gibbs

/Sgt. Brenda L. Gibbs, 46, of Biloxi, MS, died Friday, February 20, 2009, in Biloxi. Sgt. Gibbs was born in Minot, North Dakota and was presently stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. She had served two tours in Germany and one tour in Iraq. She was a Baptist. Sgt. Gibbs was preceded in death by a niece, Sharon J. Hook, and brother-in-law, Martin G. Hoop. She is survived by her husband, John C. Gibbs, II, of Biloxi; step-daughter, Samantha Gibbs of Billings, MO; mother, Doris (Wayne) James of Jacksonville, AK; father, Wiley Carter of Palm Harbor, FL; sister, Carol L. Hoop of Haughton, LA; half brother, Matthew Carter of Palm Harbor, FL; mother and father-in-law, John C. and Charleen Gibbs of San Bernadine, CA; niece and nephew, Tammy M. Hoop and Christopher D. Hoop of Haughton, LA Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 1 p.m until service time. Sgt. Gibbs will be sent to Riverside, CA for burial.
