Tanya Rose Roberts Sjostrom

Tanya Rose Roberts Sjostrom, 66, of D’Iberville, MS passed away Monday, January 16, 2023. Tanya was born in Biloxi, MS on February 10, 1956 to Eugene “Buddy” Joseph Roberts Jr. and Dolores “Doe” Mary Broussard Roberts.

Tanya graduated from Biloxi High School. After graduating, she worked as a vault auditor at Boomtown Casino for 25 years before retiring. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and watching her grandkids at sporting events. Tanya was also cheering them on, even if she couldn’t make it to a game or function.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene “Buddy” Joseph Roberts Jr. and Dolores “Doe” Mary Broussard Roberts; and sister, Wanda Roberts Valentine.

Survivors include her husband, Albert Lars Sjostrom III; children, Mack Robley Broussard Jr., Kecia Rose Lane-DeShazo, and Kyle Albert Sjostrom; grandchildren, Colton Thomas DeShazo, Journee Cadence DeShazo, and Makayla DaRae DeShazo; siblings, Timothy Paul Roberts and Harrison Lee Lofton; and loving dog, Precious.

A memorial service will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 11 am. A reception will be held following the service at the DeShazo family home located at 15360 Camelot Dr. D’Iberville MS, 39540. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to South MS Humane Society.
