Taylor Lyons

Taylor Lyons, age 22, of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 in Tupelo, MS. Taylor was born on September 8, 1988 at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. Taylor attended St. Alphonsus Elementary School and he was a 2007 graduate of Ocean Springs High School. He was a member of the National Honor Society and played for the OSH Greyhound football team. He was currently in his Senior Year at Mississippi State University majoring in Political Science and History. Taylor planned to attend law school and recently placed in the top ten percent nationally on the Law School Admission Test. He was on the President's List. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, loved and respected by his brothers and leadership. Taylor is survived by his parents, Wes and Leslie (Stagg) Lyons, sister, Elizabeth Lyons; grandparents, Butch and Paulette Stagg, Kathy Benezue, and David Lyons; great-grandparents, Clyde and Alva Parrish and Katie Jackson; many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, December 17, 2010 there will be an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where friends may visit one hour prior to service.
