Teresa Wyrosdick Holland, 64, of Saucier, MS passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in Gulfport.
Teresa wasn’t an ordinary lady from the get go. From playing ball with the guys in the neighborhood as a kid, to mud riding with her kids and their friends, camping, hunting and fishing as an adult. She had a spitfire personality whose can vegetable of choice was corn. If you know, you know.
She had a hard life as a single mom to two girls. She worked hard, and held multiple jobs throughout the years. She eventually retired from what was Fansteel Hydro Carbide due to Rheumatoid Arthritis.
She met the love of her life (after he saw a picture of her boat), Phillip, in 2010. Together they bought a piece of property on the Pascagoula River in hopes of building a camp. While they did get started on this, she didn’t get to see it complete. This place turned out to be her sanctuary the last few years. She wanted to fish from sun up to sun down. She made some dear friends at the camp to share fish tales with.
Teresa was preceded in death by her father Walter Paul Wyrosdick, her mother Delores June Miles and her stepdad Wyatt Wilson Miles.
She is survived by her “honey” Phillip Holland; her daughters Renee (Brian) Daniels and Candy Bond; and through marriage, her daughter Leslie (Jeremy) Nelson, son Phillip Holland Jr, and her “other child” Abby (Jacob) Jackson. She also was Grammy to 12 grandchildren. Whitney, Jaci, Justin, Jeremy, Emily, Matthew, McKenzie, Lynn, Courtney, Annie, Landon, and Brayden. Her brother Paul (Carol) Wyrosdick, Her sister Anna (Freddie) Bond.
She was a cool aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and their children. Teresa also had a special relationship with longtime hunting and fishing buddies Derek Fayard and Chris McMullen and their families.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation in her name to hopefully help find a cure for this horrific disease.
