Teri Marie Wilson

Teri Marie Wilson was granted her angel wings on December 7, 2009. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends, which Teri had touched in some way throughout her very memorable journey through life. Teri's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her kind and gentle spirit brought so much joy to those around her. Although frail, but strong in spirit, she gave us all such courage and hope that taught us the significance of life. She loved to garden and backyard bird watch and could spend hours fishing of any type. She loved cuddling close to those she loved so much. Teri was born July 17, 1953, in Biloxi, MS, was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and was a 1971 graduate of St. Martin High School. She received her BS and MS from the University of Southern Mississippi and worked 22 years in the public school system. Eleven of those years were spent in the Jackson County School System and the other eleven years as a guidance counselor in the Gautier School System. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Latimer. Her parents, Melvin and Myrna Raymond both of Biloxi, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Toby Wilson , two sons, Toby Wilson (Shannon Jackson), and Casey Wilson (Erica Boggan), five grandchildren, Kayla Adele, Kyleigh Cole, Kody Lane, Kenzi Grace and Grace AnnMarie all of Latimer, one sister, Laurie (Edwin) Stubbs of Slidell and one brother, Melvin (Angie) Raymond of Biloxi, Aunt Judie (Tom) Evans, Uncle, Dr. Jerry Rodriguez, special friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 9 AM - 10 AM with the service at 10 AM all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Wilson Cemetery in North Biloxi. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 408 Fontaine Place, Suite 104, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
