Terrence A. Impey

Mr. Terrence A. Impey, age 91, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Monday, January 9, 2012, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Impey was born in llford, England on April 16, 1920 and was a resident of the coast since 1961. He was a former manager of the Singer Sewing Center at Edgewater Mall and later owned his own sewing machine repair business in Ocean Springs. Mr. Impey retired as an Officer, WO/W1 in the U.S. Air Force with 21 years of service and was a member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church He was preceded in death by a son, Terrence A. Impey II, his parents, Gladys Cole and Paw Cole, and sisters, Hazel and Pat. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ellen Maxine Impey, two sons, Jeff (Melissa) Impey and Mike (Anita) Impey, daughter Katherine Gilley, daughter-in-law, Sue Lemay, nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 14, 2012, from 10:30 am ~ 11:30 am, with an 11:30 am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
