Thaddeus Romanowski Jr.

Thaddeus “Ted” Romanowski, Jr., age 77 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away in his home on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Ted was born on May 8, 1946, in East Chicago, IN and was a long-time resident of Chesterton, IN. He graduated from Emerson High School in 1965 and served in the U.S. Army. Ted worked for many years as a blackjack dealer at a floating casino in Northwest Indiana. He relocated to Ocean Springs, MS in 2002 where he was employed by Imperial Palace Casino as a dealer until he retired.

Ted enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and had boundless love for his wife, children, and pet cats. He struck up friendships wherever he went and maintained many close friendships throughout his life. He enjoyed dancing and singing, watching old movies, listening to the oldies, planning family trips, and cooking and enjoying his favorite foods. Every year to celebrate the holidays, he made Polish and Hungarian dishes that his family could not wait to enjoy. He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus Romanowski, Sr. and Irma Romanowski; his sister, Barbara Romanowski; and his brothers, Charlie and Daniel Romanowski.

Ted is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Romanowski; his devoted children, Joseph Romanowski (Melinda) and Bethany Romanowski (Michael Greathouse); his brother, Tony (Marsha) Romanowski; sister, Diane (Rocky) Essany; his extended family; and his beloved pets, Lucy and Penelope.
