Thelma Alice Swanzy Hall

Mrs. Thelma Swanzy Hall, 86, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Hall, a former resident of Jackson, MS, was born in Biloxi and had been a resident of the coast since 2010. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Cathedral in Jackson. "She was a loving wife and the best mother in the world." Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her daughter, Georgia Hall Marquiss; parents, James M. and Georgia Payne Swanzy; sisters, Ann Kane and Dorothy Ladnier; and brothers, Will Swanzy and Jim Swanzy. She is survived by her husband, Charles F. Hall, Jr.; daughters, Christine (Stanley) Smigiel and Mary (Kenneth) Rainey; sons, Max (Peggy) Hall, Sr., Charles (Taffy) Hall, III, and John (Joyce) Hall; sisters, Elizabeth Ball, Grace Fox and Katherine Griffin; brother, John A. Swanzie; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The family requests donations be made to Hospice of Light, 2012 Hwy. 90, Gautier, MS 39553 Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
