Theresa E. "Dee" Johnson Coke Pingel

Mrs. Theresa E. "Dee" Johnson Coke Pingel, 62, of D'Iberville, MS, died Saturday, April 25, 2009, in D'Iberville. Mrs. Pingel was born February 9, 1947, in New Orleans, LA to Othello and Ira Oris Johnson. She had been a resident of D'Iberville at the time of her death but had lived in Biloxi since October, 1947. In her heart she was a Biloxian. She was employed with West End Cleaners as the manager for over 20 years. Mrs. Pingel was preceded in death by her mother, Othello "Stella" Seymour; father, Ira Oris Johnson; step-father, Robert L. Seymour; and grandparents, Frank and Theresa Hager. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, William "Bill" Pingel; children, Patricia Coke Spires and fiancee' Eric Paleaz of Woolmarket; ex-son-in-law, Dave Spires, Becky Coke Mansfield and husband, Brian of Biloxi, Dawn Coke Davis and husband, John, of Byram, MS, David Coke and wife, Angie of Terry, MS; step-sons, Chris Pingel and Larry Pingel and wife, Kathy, of Oregon: six grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica and Kathryn Mansfield, Matthew Davis, Aimee Coke, and Joseph Spires. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507 or to the Mitchell Cancer of Mobile, 1660 Springhill Ave., Mobile, AL 36604. Funeral services will be 12:15 p.m.Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit from 10 a. m. until service time. Interment will follow Biloxi National Cemetery.
