Thomas A. Runnels

Thomas A. Runnels, our loving father, of Houma, Louisiana, passed peacefully at his home in Gulfport, surrounded by his children on May 23rd 2009. He was 58 years old and a long time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He enjoyed boating with his friends on the Jourdan River and fishing in the bayous of southern Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents William Joseph Runnels Sr. and Cecile Angelina Jaccuzzo of Houma, LA. He will be fondly remembered by his older brother William Joseph Runnels Jr., and younger sister Janet “Chickie” Marcel and her husband David of Houma, LA; as well as his children, Cheryl Ann Van Duzen and her husband Chris, Justin Thomas Runnels and his wife Danielle, and Christian Harmony Miller and her husband Jeremey, and three loving grandchildren, Mina and Duren Van Duzen, and Leif Runnels. Services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 5 PM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on 15th St. in Gulfport. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM.
