Thomas Henry “Tommy” Barrett, age 78, of Long Beach, MS went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home, after a long battle with prostate cancer, with his wife, Amy L. Barrett and his faithful dog, Reba, by his side.
Tommy was born on September 7, 1946 in Gulfport, MS. He graduated from the University of Mississippi and Jackson School of Law. Tommy worked as an attorney, an accountant, and as the owner of DC Signs. He loved fishing, deer hunting, working with his tractor, planting a garden, making syrup with his cousins, and spending time as his cabin in Vancleave.
Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Neil Barrett French; father, Thomas H. Barrett; and step-father, Arthur French.
Survivors include his wife, Amy; daughter, Tarah Barrett; sister, Judy Barrett Conerly; nephew, Derik Conerly; and niece, Cecily Conerly Midkif.
The family would like to thank Dr. Allison Wall for her excellent and compassionate care, along with nurses Melanie and Amanda; the infusion clinic at Memorial Hospital; our wonderful care team from Enhabit Home Health; Tami Quinn Boundy, our amazing nurse who was so caring and became like family to us; our therapists, Corey, Catlin, and Megan; and assorted other caregivers.
A graveside service will be held in Vancleave at Vancleave #2 Cemetery on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport, MS is honored to serve the Barrett family.
