Thomas Eley

Mr. Thomas J. Eley, Sr., age 88, of Lucedale, MS., died Friday, December 16, 2005, in Lucedale. Mr. Eley was born on August 23, 1917, in Vancleave, MS. He was in the U.S. Marine Corp for 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vancleave. Preceding him in death were his parents and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean Eley of Lucedale, MS., daughter, Jennifer (Tom) Thompkins, two sons, Thomas J. Eley, Jr. and Peter J. (Mary Ellen) Eley, sister, Tiny Ladnier, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 18, 2005, from 3-5 PM at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, December 19, 2005, there will be a 1:00 PM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
