Mr. Thomas Joseph McGill, 69, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Friday, July 28, 2006, in New Orleans, LA.
Mr. McGill was raised in Lakewood, Ohio and had been a resident of Biloxi since 1959. He was a graduate of St. Edward's High School in Ohio and retired from the U. S. Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller Instructor. He was also retired from Litton Industries. Mr. McGill was an avid golfer and a Notre Dame Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. McGill, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth McGill; his father-in-law, George Trahan, and his brother-in-law, Pat Trahan.
Survivors include his wife, Elda Trahan McGill; his son, Kevin M. McGill and his wife, Jodee; his daughters, Maureen E. Pilger and her husband, Jack, and Kelly A. McGill; his brother, Fran McGill and his wife, Roxanne, of Plano, Texas; his sisters, Ann Mengerink and her husband, Bill, and Trish Rooney of Lakewood, Ohio; grandchildren, Amber Pavlov, Aimee Pavlov, Maureen McGill, Myles McGill and Michael McGill, and his beloved mother-in-law, Ozea Trahan. Mr. McGill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and gentle heart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Cathedral where friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, Memorials Program, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
