Thomas Joseph Kavanagh

Thomas Joseph Kavanagh, 78, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

He was born September 13, 1945, in County Leitrim, Ireland to Thomas Joseph Kavanagh and Anne Teresa Kavanagh.  Thomas attended Notre Dame High School and graduated in 1963.  He served the Gulf Coast working for BellSouth AT&T retiring with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed attending and participating in Mardi Gras activities with family and friends.  More than anything he loved being a husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Gayle Kavanagh, and brothers Hugh Kavanagh and John Kavanagh.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Rose Kavanagh; children, Kristine Kavanagh Russo, Kerri Kavanagh Romeo (Jason), Thomas Joseph Kavanagh (Christy Backus), Nathan Latil (Melissa), Jenna Quave (Miles); grandchildren, Ryan Russo, Nick Russo, Elliot Quave, Emory Quave, Jacob Latil, and Harper Ash.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, Biloxi, MS, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until Mass time. Family and Friends are invited to a reception in the church hall after Mass.  A private burial will take place at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, MS.
