Thomas D. Knotts passed away in Ocean Springs, MS on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Thomas “Tom” was born on October 8, 1960 in Andalusia, Alabama to Marlon Knotts and Evelyn (Dawkins) Knotts. Tom grew up with time in Alabama, Mississippi, and the Azores. He attended St. Martin High School, where after high school he joined the United States Navy. In the Navy Tom was avionics electronic technician and spent six years in the Navy. Tom through his career after the Navy found him being a general handyman, eventually becoming an electrician, which he made a career for more than 30 years. Tom always had a passion for music, where he wrote lyrics, played the drums, and introduced his children and grandchildren to what he deemed worthy music. Tom was a man who loved to tinker and restore broken things. The last couple of years Tom was into picking up driftwood and creating art out of it and sharing his creations with family. Tom was a loving and caring man who did his best to help other and passed that trait onto his children and grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by his father, Marlon Knotts; and by his brothers, Robert Knotts, John Knotts, and Kenneth Knotts. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Knotts Lott; siblings, Catherine Ann Booker and Susan Roe; his sons, Shawn, Justin, Zachary; and son-in-law, John Treloar; daughter, Cheryl Ann Knotts; daughter-in-law, Kristy Knotts; grandchildren, Destin, Bishop, Isabel, Noah, Benjamin, and Andrew; and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10 AM until 12 PM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Graveside service will follow at 1 PM at Paramount Baptist Church Cemetery located at 63 Paramount Church Dr, Perkinston MS 39573.
