Thomas L. Reynolds, Sr.

Thomas L. "Tom" Reynolds, Sr., age 77, went to meet his Lord on Wed., July 7, 2010 at his home in Gautier. He was born to John Hosey and Pearl Cooley Reynolds in Ovett, MS, where he lived until he enlisted in the Air Force at the age of 17. He served twenty dedicated years on assignments in Germany, Iceland, Turkey, France and Vietnam until he retired in 1971 as a Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent. MSgt. Reynolds received many awards and medals including the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star. While in Vietnam, Tom served in the "Prime Beef" Red Horse Division. After retirement, he chose a second career as sales manager at Mitchell Motors, in Pascagoula where he worked until retirement. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, John Hosey and Pearl Reynolds; daughter Patricia Ann Reynolds; sister, Sadie Speed and his three brothers, James, Virgil, and Bob Reynolds. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Reynolds; son, Thomas (Cathy) Reynolds, Jr., grandsons, Thomas (Noelle) Reynolds, III and Patrick J. Reynolds and his granddaughter, Nicole Duplichien. Visitation will be Friday, July 9, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe. There will be a Graveside Service Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with military honors at Crestlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be sent to Gautier United Methodist Church in his honor.
