Thomas R. Dodson

Thomas R. Dodson born March 1, 1915 in Fayette, Iowa, died June 21, 2007 in Greenville, Mississippi. He was married to Elizabeth Geraldine Dills June 30, 1945 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. He entered the United States Navy August 24, 1937 at St. Louis, Missouri and retired February 27, 1969 in San Diego, California. He was a veteran of Pearl Harbor, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam and served 32 years. He was also a Fifty Year member in good standing of Waukegan, Illinois Masonic Lodge No. 78 and a Shriner. Mr. Dodson is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth. He is survived by two daughters, Carla Rae Vivrette and husband Bill, Sandra Lea Gaydon and husband Steve; two sisters, Margarette Bealle of Tampa, Florida and Gladys Graham of Ottumwa, Iowa; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on O’Neal Road in Gulfport. Funeral service will be Monday, June 25, 2007 at 10a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment with full military honors and Scottish Rites will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
