Thomas "T.C." Christian Plylar, Jr.

Thomas Christian “T.C.” Plylar, Jr. age 83, of Biloxi, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommie and Clara Plylar; and brother, Jim Stok.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 58 years, Margaret Yates Plylar; son, Thomas C. Plylar III (Sissy); daughter, Rachel D. Plylar (Fulmer); 2 granddaughters who were the apple of his eye, Brittany (Alex) Hand and Breanna (Aaron) White; and when he thought life couldn’t get any better, 4 great grandchildren, Leighla and Alexander Hand, and Oliver and Pierce White, who brought unmeasurable joy and happiness to the last years of his life. Tom is also survived by 5 sisters, Marion Parker, Patricia Dimmett, Sharyn Williams, Virginia Rhodes, and Theresa Ascencio; and a brother, Joseph Plylar.

Tom was a patriot who loved his country and served 4 years in the US Navy. He was employed as a scaffold carpenter in the refinery for 40 years and was a self-taught master carpenter who enjoyed volunteering on church mission trips. He enjoyed taking his great grandchildren fishing, the lengthy phone calls from his best pal, Steve Krohn, and above all he treasured spending time with his wife each evening as they watched repeat episodes of Bonanza.

Tom will be sorely missed, but his family will ensure that his legacy endures. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024, from 11 am to 12 pm at Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church with a funeral service following. Interment is scheduled at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church Building Fund.
