Thomas "Tommy" Darius Hengen

Thomas “Tommy” Darius Hengen, 71, of Biloxi, MS, passed away on January 30, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. Tommy was a 1968 graduate of D’Iberville High School. He received a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. To many he was known as “Coach”. He was a teacher and coach with D’Iberville for most of his career before retiring. He loved his career and touched many lives throughout it.
 
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents Darius and Ruth Hengen.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Brandi Hengen of Biloxi; was a proud grandfather of his granddaughter, Macie; siblings, Susan Vuyovich (Dale), Joe Hengen (Pamela), and Barbara Battise (Mark); and his many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his brother, Jimmy Hengen who helped give Tommy compassion and dignity until the end.
 
A graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Southern Memorial Park for family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
