Thomas Jasper Wilson, Sr., age 86, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Thomas was born in Monticello, MS on February 15, 1931 to Dr. John W. Wilson and Frances Elizabeth Wilson. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He worked for Continental Oil and Chevron as a chemist. He was co-owner of Micro-Methods, Inc. from 1976-1999.
Thomas served state-side in the Army during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsmen- enjoying gardening, fishing, hunting, and golf. He volunteered regularly at The Lord is My Help. He also was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers, John Wilson, Newton Wilson, Charles Wilson, and George Wilson; and his sisters, Sarah Kendall and Mary Frank Foshee.
Thomas' survivors include his wife, Mary (Ann) Wilson; his children, Thomas J. (Dedra) Wilson, Jr., Teresa (Randy) Carter, and Tina Tomek; his grandchildren, Kate (Austin) Romberger, Sarah Tomek, Brandon (Amy) Wilson, Hannah (Cliff) Clary, Ali Carter, and Tyler (Mitzi) Wilson; his great-grandchildren, Nate English, Ava Wilson, Abby Clary, Jack Henry Romberger, and Jaxon McGrew; his sister, Margaret (Frank) Walsh; and his bassett hound, Blaze.
Visitation will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m, with a service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to The Lord is My Help, Wesley United Methodist Church, or the Home of Grace in Vancleave.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
