Timothy Aaron O'Brien, age 58, formerly of Gulfport, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from heart failure in Madison, Nebraska. Tim was born in Gulfport, Mississippi and was a 1966 graduate of Gulfport High School. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College where he earned an Associate of Arts degree and furthered his education at the University of Southern Mississippi majoring in Marine Biology. He served in the Air National Guard. He held many unique and adventurous jobs in his life. Several years after the death of his father, he moved to Madison, NE to work for Tyson Industry. When his mother became ill, he took a leave of absence to help take care of her and began to work with his sister at Domino House Special Events and Floral for many years. Upon the death of his mother, he returned to Nebraska where he continued to work for Tyson Industry until the time of his death. He was Baptist, and was an avid fisherman and camper. He enjoyed planting his garden every spring because it reminded him of home. He enjoyed life, his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle man and will be missed by all. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Elizabeth O'Brien; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donovan O'Brien and Mr. and Mrs. John Nations. He is survived by his sister, Linda O'Brien Domino and husband, Sal of Gulfport; niece, Salina Domino Sullivan and husband, James of Gulfport; nephew, Dusty Domino and wife, Brittany, of Harrison, Arkansas; and he took great pleasure in being "Great-Uncle Tim" to Nicholas, Sarah Elizabeth and Ella. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
