Timothy E. Ellis

December 9, 1974 — August 20, 2024

Biloxi

At 9:42 am on August 20, 2024, Timothy E. Ellis, age 49, entered the arms of his savior, Jesus Christ after a valiant effort and years of struggle with brain cancer. Tim was born on December 9, 1974 to James and Wilma Niles Ellis, who preceded him in death.

Tim is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bill F. Collum, Sr.

Tim is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Brenda Collum Ellis and their three children, Gabriel, Kiersten and James; bonus daughter, Jakeya Otis; brothers, Glen and James, Jr; sisters, Doris, Tammy and Crystal; mother-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” Collum; and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Many thanks go out to the medical staff that have taken care of Tim over the last 10 years. First and foremost, Dr. Toms who was Tim's first neurosurgeon that succeeded in granting us 3 more years than most with this type of cancer. Secondly, to Dr. Rose, Dr. Hightower and the medical staff at Saad Healthcare and Enhabit Hospice. Also, a big thanks to the medical supply company for all the equipment and hospital bed which made caring for Tim so much easier these last few weeks. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the pastors, family and friends of Millerton Wesleyan Church and to Bay Vista Baptist Church for their never-ending love and support over the years and to Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home for their care and compassion during this difficult time.

The family has requested memorial donations to be made in Tim’s name to his first home, Millerton Wesleyan Church in Millerton, PA (Pastor Laurie Greenlaw) where he and Brenda were married 21 years ago. He was baptized there as well after receiving Christ as his savior. You may also donate to his second home and most current home, Bay Vista Baptist Church in Biloxi, MS (Pastor Danny Nance and Associate Pastor and brother-in law, Bill Collum, Jr and his wife, Stephanie (Harris) Collum) or to the Wounded Warrior Project which was close to Tim’s Heart.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Bay Vista Baptist Church on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. A light luncheon will follow at the FLC.

Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Timothy E. Ellis.
