TSgt. John William Templin, age 42, of Biloxi died Saturday, February 2, 2008 in Biloxi, MS. He was born in New Ulm, MN, was a native of Gibbon, MN and had been a resident of Biloxi for 20 years. He was a graduate of Gibbon High School class of 1983, attended Mankato State University of MN, and graduated from Faulkner University with a B.A. in Business. He was Active Duty Air Force at Keesler Air Force Base, a member of the 338 TRS. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. John was dedicated to his family and they were very active in community activities including Sand Sculpture Contest, Paint A Can Contest, the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art Fall Festival in Biloxi, Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Sea Food Festival, Keesler Air Force Base Special Olympics, and he was a soccer coach. John was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Susan Marie Ward Templin of Biloxi; his parents, Lorin and Janice Templin of Gibbon, MN; his in-laws, Everett and Sharon Ward of Mapleton, MN; three sons, Brandon Chandler Templin and his fiancee, Jennifer Sterling, Kiefer John Templin, and Dustin Sean Templin, all of Biloxi; a sister Juliann Grachek (Lloyd) of St. Paul, MN; two brothers, Jason Templin (Laura) of Norwood, MN and Jeremy Templin of Gibbon, MN; brother-in-law Michael Ward (Leanne) of Raleigh, NC; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Alissa, and Jamie Ward, Joshua, Amanda, and Jessica Grachek. The funeral service will be Friday, February 8, 2008 at 12 noon at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the service. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. The family prefers memorials to the Humane Society of South Mississippi. 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501.
