Tullus R.Castor, age 88, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Biloxi.
He was a native of Ohio and attended Ohio Northern University and entered Ohio 37th Division of National Guard in 1940.
After World War II, he went to work with his father in the contracting business. During the Korean Conflict he joined the Army and retired in 1966 as a chief warrant officer. In retirement he excelled in woodworking. Mr. Castor was a member of BPOE for 67 years where he held many offices including State President and served on the national level as well. He was a member of the Board of the de l'Epee Deaf Center.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Castor of Gulfport; two daughters, Victoria Stallard and husband, David of Poquoson, Va, Catherine Ross and husband, Randy of Gulfport; four grandsons, David Stallard and wife, Susan of VA, Robert Stallard and wife, Krysten of Va, Thomas Arthur and fiancee Jackie Williams of Memphis, and Paul Arthur and wife Beth of IN; two great grandchildren, John Patrick Stallard of VA and Lauren Arthur of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Depew Road, Gulfport. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi.
