Verna Mae Riley

Mrs. Verna Mae Riley, age 79, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, February 1, 2006, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Riley was a resident of the community for 41 years. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and an excellent cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Roy D. Riley, and her parents, Christopher and Clemelia Matherne. Mrs. Riley is survived by a daughter, Patricia Champagne of Ocean Springs, MS., and two sons, Michael D. Riley of Pascagoula, MS., and James Christopher Riley of Ocean Springs, a brother, Stanley Matherne of Houma, LA., seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, February 3, 2006, from 1-3 PM, with a 3 PM Chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
